Hello my friend,
Let me begin by thanking you again for your participation as a valued team member in my UKnoMe Adventure!
This is the place where I explain to you why I am asking for your wisdom and insights.
Currently I work as a Spiritual Counselor for “People Care Home Health and Hospice” in Somewhere, California. I really enjoy this job, most days, but from time to time it can be very taxing emotionally. I love to invest myself in the lives of others, and in this job I’m fortunate to be able to provide comfort, counseling and conversation. The pay is good and I have the opportunity to plan my own schedule and be my own boss...most of the time.
I also have a new Counseling business that just has a few start-up clients. As I said before, I love investing in people and doing counseling. At this time, due to my lack of expertise in marketing, I am unable to make this a full time job.
In addition, my wife and I started a few years ago a business called “Safe Place” that helps unite family members who are divided over emotional or philosophical viewpoints. The object of the business is to help keeps lines of love and communication open between those of both view points.
Just to make things more complicated, I also have several other creative hobbies that I hope to one day spend more time developing, They are, in no particular order: consulting, writing articles and books, opening a Dinner Theater, and traveling internationally, just to name a few.
Just in case you did not know, my educational background includes a Bachelors degree, a Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership, as well as being a credentialed counselor..
My dilemma is my future...where do I invest my time and energy? Obviously I would need to put food on the table so I need stable work, but if I continue to pursue all of these at this time I won’t do any of them well and I will wear myself out.
I recently received invitations to join two different organizations as a staff member, which would take me back to a previous career path, and I am looking for wisdom in deciding what my future could look like.
Thank you for providing your insights through answering the following questions in the Life Exploration Tools questionnaire.
Gratefully,
Scott
